This quote by Nicholas Sparks fit what I recently experienced. I did geology week with the children I work with, and one of the activities I’d planned was “rock hunting”. They loved it. What amazed me was how they were so fascinated by finding ordinary rocks. They’d show me their rocks, gushing about all the “amazing” features that I see as plain and nothing special. But to them, it’s special, it’s extraordinary.
